5:00 AM, Soooooo tired...
I thought I had set my alarm for 5:00 AM, but it was still set at 6. Fortunately, I woke up this morning at 5:24 AM. I ran through my routine this morning as if I would be arriving at work at 8:00 AM. I made some breakfast (5 egg whites and a single palm-sized pancake) and during what would be my 45min alotted "drive time" (I'm still working from home for AGI until Friday) I did some reading. Drove to the community center and worked out my legs in the gym, stretched, and showered. I was ready by 7:50 AM to walk to my cubicle. ... when I have one. Hit the grocery store on the way home for some milk and 2 pounds of sliced turkey. Admit it! You like those small details about my day. ;)
Daily Log
- 05:24 AM - Woke up
- 05:30 AM - Breakfast (fast! I have to practice being ready to go out the door by 5:45 for the new job!)
- 06:30 AM - Weight Lifting (lower body)
- Quadriceps - Lying Squats: 12x140, 10x140, 8x160, 6x180, 12x140, Standing Squats: 12x90.
These were easy, so I need to increase the weight.
- Short stretching routine just for the legs
- Hamstrings - Lunges: 10, 8, 6, 10
I have never worked out my hamstrings directly for any length of time and they always feel like they're going to snap when I focus on them; despite great flexibility and good stretching routines. So, I did zero weight and focused on form, attempting to not pull anything so I can continue to workout.
- Calves - Standing Raises: 12x180, 10x180, 8x180, 6x180, 12x140, Seated Raises: 12x90
Started too heavy on calves, sacrificing form for short, quick bursts.

- 07:10 AM - Stretch Routine
- 09:45 AM - Snack: one Pure Protein bar (the small one w/ 19g Protein and 3g carbs) and my multi-vitamin (Vitamin World's "Ultra Man 75") along with 3 chewable papaya enzyme tablets (to help the body digest, especially the multivitamin).
- 12:00 PM - Lunch: turkey on whole wheat bread w/ very little mustard and a thin slice of cheese.
- 03:00 PM - Snack: Protein shake
- 06:00 PM - Chicken breast and green peas
- 10:00 PM - Chicken breast and black beans
